Nestled at the foot of the Cascade Mountains, Seattle's skyline is noted for the space needle commemorating the 1980 World's Fair. Here the tower is shown peaking over top of the Science Museum which was displaying artifacts retrieved from the sunken Titanic.
Seattle's downtown waterfront area features fish markets filled with the famous catch of the cold Pacific Northwest waters.
As a licensed seaplane pilot, Fred was intrigued by the number of them used by sightseeing tourists in the area.
From Seattle harbor a high speed Catamaran will whisk you off to the island of Victoria, B.C.
This Government house overlooking the harbor in Victoria boasts a classic British Style.
Victoria is renowned for her gardens, which are enjoyed by thousands of visitors, including these little creatures, every year.
CHICAGO
After 330 days of travel, we arrived in the cold, windy city of Chicago, thus closing our point-to-point loop around the world!
Here was the coldest weather we'd encountered all year, because we had strategically traced the summer months from the Northern to the Southern hemispheres the whole time.
Winter can create a wonderland.
Overnight, your world is transformed.
So the only choice is to bundle up and go see the sights, like this statue of Grant in Lincoln Park, downtown Chicago Lakefront area.
